Two Days of Autumn Photography
(Extra Photos - September 28 and 30, 2009)
 |
On this page is a collection of two evening's
worth of autumn foliage photography.
September 28, 2009 - The view of yellow and orange shaded aspen
groves above a dirt road near Twin Lakes, Colorado.
|
 |
I wandered in an aspen grove with a small trickling
creek and a path defined by old tree branches.
The adjacent photos are darker than my taste would like, yet
it was one of those peaceful places where I knew I needed to forget
about photography and fully embrace the moment with all of my senses.

TOP: That mountain is Mt. Elbert
(alt. 14,433 feet), the highest
point in Colorado. A pretty reservoir known as
"Forebay Reservoir"
is popular for fishing among locals. As you can see, it is also a place for stunning views!
BOTTOM: An overlook facing one of the lakes comprising of Twin Lakes with mountains behind.

September 30, 2009 -
On my way back from
Leadville
(where I work), I pulled over on
Chaffee County Road 371 near the Railroad Bridge portage location
on the Arkansas River... and look at this photo I captured! :) |
 |
Two beautiful shots a few miles west of where I live! Sigh!
